Humble Smile Global Health Societies

Humble Smile GHSs are for health sciences students and young professionals who wish to identify needs and opportunities within their communities for high-impact (life-changing) health interventions, particularly preventive measures aimed at the risk factors and determinants of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). With guidance from Humble Smile, the society members design, share and lead innovative, sustainable and integrative primary care projects that are evaluated for impact, proof of concept and to enable scale-up, sharing and re-applying.

Currently there is one Humble Smile Global Health Society active in Rwanda.

INESKO Project

The INESKO Project aims to educate and equip Community Health Workers, serving under the Rwandan MoH CHW Program, to integrate Oral Health into primary health care delivered on the traditional Akagoroba Kabayeyi community platform whereby the old and wise people in the village sit (usually in the evenings around a bonfire) and discuss different society issues especially health related topics.
